Re: 2023-2024 Season

Season starts in 2 days, does anyone have any predicitons they want to make? This is what I've put together, but not sure I'm sold on the top 4 slots yet. 1. St. Marys 2. London 3. Strathroy 4. LaSalle 5. Chatham 6. St. Thomas 7. Komoka 8. Sarnia Looks odd not seeing Leamington...I like the coachin...

Re: Schedule

St Andrews College 13 London Nationals 4.

Is this for real? Is the St Andrews team that strong? It was a home game for the Nationals and they got slaughtered, outshot 50-26, outscored by 9 goals.

What am I missing, how did that happen?

Re: Schedule

But if I was Commissioner, you'd be mad, posting that I can't run the league, how can a woman run a Jr hockey league, how I don't have the qualifications, and how nobody likes or respects me, so how do I expect to make a difference.....blah blah blah It doesn't matter who's in charge, you guys won'...

Re: Schedule

Simmons never played, never coached, never involved in anything higher than Jr B hockey........ What does that have to do with anything? I've never played hockey, I don't even know how to skate. I've never coached, I've never scouted, I've never been more than a puck bunny according to some, doesn'...

Re: Schedule

Simmons never played, never coached, never involved in anything higher than Jr B hockey, and don’t let his role of “Director of Hockey Operations” fool you, if was a ceremonial “gift” position, he never had any input on player cuts, signings or trades, he did administrative duties. He was not a popu...

Tim Simmons is still the commissioner? The GOJHL not being able to attract a better guy than that is not a good look.

Re: The Flood Gates are now wide open

If 400k is the price of an expansion team, well, that’s pretty steep for a league with a questionable future. I see Craig Spada is the contact person which is not bad at all…they wouldn’t have a chance of attracting expansion teams with Tim Simmons representing the GOJHL. I wonder if there will be a...

Re: Cat is out of the bag...

I’m surprised they actually did it…long road trips, building new rivalries, but I’m sure the Leamington management thought of all that and made the move anyway. Doesn’t look good on the GOJHL, your league champions leave for another league. GOJHL needs to re-tool…first move would be too get rid of T...

I will believe Leamington going to the OJHL when I see it.

I don't know if its a good move...not just all the longer trips to play games, but all the rivalries they have established with LaSalle, Chatham, London etc are gone...

Re: Brent Resigns (again)

The replacement would need a 75% in favour from owners. This would eliminate Simmons. There's not a lot of owners that think he knows what hes doing in his current role let alone let him become the commissioner The owners don't like the job he's doing? He goes to the games wearing a wardrobe from t...

They need a guy with real experience in hockey who will do it for the money they pay, which I don't think is a lot...

Just hope Tim Simmons isn't in line for the job, he doesn't have the experience or qualifications to run the league although he would probably do it for the money they pay.

Doesn't look like anything too stupid happened...although Chatham did score 3 power play goals...London needs to play a smarter game.

Thanks for the info^^^...I guess Heggle didn't realize the Chatham player wasn't fighting back and kept pounding on him, pretty stupid.

Lucas Chard getting a match for kicking is a 4 game suspension well deserved...and I don't know what Connolly did, 2 games for being an idiot I guess.

They acquired Joe Ranger who has played parts of the last four seasons including the last two complete seasons in the OHL so they’ve probably upgraded their goaltending.

Sorry to disappoint some of you.
