I'm assuming the players are overmatched and I see they have a couple veteran coaches...is the ownership to blame?

Re: Playoffs
Maybe today they'll come out with a Western Conference playoff schedule...I don't know what the big deal is that they have to wait until the East is done, it doesn't change the West match ups...the teams know the schedule why not release it?

Strathroy staying is good news for sure, I didn't hear the rumours that they could be leaving.
I'm curious at where they would have moved too?

I just checked out the GOJHL website and I don't see any schedule for playoff games. Am I missing it or they still haven't come out with it yet?

I don’t think you’re cryptic post was very fair to the London Nationals…you should state what your problem is or don’t say anythingRocketGirl wrote: Fri Feb 21, 2025 9:19 am His staff are still there, and after they've threatened you, or attempted to in my case, it's best to just not say anything.

I thought people would be all over this celebrating the fact that Duarte is now gone. Shouldn't be a surprise he bought the team so his kid could play and now his kid doesn't play so what does he want the team for? Paul Duarte leaving is a good thing.

The season so far
I like how competitive the two-conference system is working out, 4/5 contenders on each side…it’s nice to see different teams instead of the same matchups 6 times a year…I see Tim Simmons is still doing his cheesy gift certificate presentation, I guess he is just trying to keep himself relevant..

I see the London Nationals and St Thomas Stars are playing at Budweiser Gardens tonight.
It's a good idea but it's too bad no one know's about it...no promotion, no marketing, nothing nowhere at all.

You stated that the League continues to make announcements in the re-shaping of the GOJHL. Two minor announcements have been made, Craig replaces Tim as commish (good choice) and the conferences are reduced too 2 from 3. Where are the announcements you say the league continues to make in the re ...

Tim Simmons actually did something good…it looks like the better teams of the mid-west are joining the west making that a tough conference.

Re: 2023-2024 Season
This is what I've put together, but not sure I'm sold on the top 4 slots yet.
1. St. Marys
2. London
3. Strathroy
4. LaSalle
5. Chatham
6. St. Thomas
7. Komoka
8. Sarnia
I didn't do too bad in my predictions. Both 1 & 2 and 7 & 8 are flipped.
I’m impressed you got Strathroy right ...

Collins Clothiers sponsors the monthly awards, so what else do you expect them to give? For many years, Strathroy's Player of the Month award was sponsored by Poag's Jewellers and they received a very fancy watch. I'm sure they didn't need it, and could have used a gift card for London Source for ...

They say at this time of year it’s the season of reflection and when they do their reflection some don’t like what they see…not just the Chatham Maroons but there has been a movement in recent years to interject themselves into someone’s lives when they seem out of sorts…good for the Maroons and ...

There are worse gifts to give… every single player in this league wears suits to games. Seems like a gift card that can be put to use by any of them.

I think Tim Simmons is the only commissioner who hands out player of the month awards in any league…I’m sure the players are thrilled to get a gift certificate for a tuxedo shop, like what are they suppose to do with that, maybe wait outside the place and sell it to someone who might use it.
