Re: Chatham forfeits game
London situation is still nowhere near as bad as the mess with Niagara Falls forfeiting 16 games. What a hot mess this league has become.

Re: London
Not true Sugarking. The transaction page shows 2 Nats players going to the Lincs in exchange for 1 coming from Lincs. Nats also added a player from Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL.
Seems to be nothing but team improvement for the 1st place Nats.

Re: GOJHL JUNE 15/21 NEWS RELEASE
Due to a miscommunication in a previous version of the 2020-22 Hockey Canada rule book, the GOJHL is confirming that all players will continue to be required to wear CSA-certified full-facial protection.

Prediction On a Season Start Date
With the recent move to a stage 3 for the province but with the expectation that stage 3 will be for an extended period of time what are the predictions for a possible season start date if there actually is a season?

Re: Affiliation
Hockey Canada struck down all team to team affiliations a few years ago so it's all open affiliation now.
The revolving door in Sarnia seems to be spinning like crazy. What's this, the 4th or 5th player to exit Sarnia in the last month or do?

Re: Cutoff date for Jr B overages to select to go to JR C
Something is not right here. Not the first team to go through a trend like this either. I assume some changes will need to be made to alleviate the problems. Wondering if Rocket Girl might have some inside knowledge as to what is occurring here.

Re: Cutoff date for Jr B overages to select to go to JR C
Cut off date is Dec 1.
Pretty sure it's 21 year olds Jr C can have not 22 year olds.
Heard it has already begun. Sarnia goalie Knowles has signed back with Petrolia. And didn't St Mary's captain return to Mt Forest last week?
Who will be next?

Re: GO players moving to the OJHL....2019/2020
I wonder if that thought on AAA has anything to do with the fact that if you look at the past OHF champions GTHL teams have probably won about 90% of the championships.

I understand a new board has formed to oversee the GOJHL. Also heard the new board is actively looking for a new commissioner. Hopefully this is all for the best.

Sarnia ?
Heard at the game last night that 2 more players have left the team. The Allair's from North Bay are not returning. That makes 11 that finished the year last year that are now gone. Team is doing ok but what is going on that all these kids are leaving?

Re: GOJHL Issues
To be affiliated under the OHL still requires HC sanctioning and they eont get that without dealing they the OHA and OHF. What's the next plan?
Can't the Inc just move on and play hockey this season. The continued turmoil is causing further discredit to the league.

Re: GOJHL Issues
I think you missed the point completely. There is no question they can operate as an independent. But with a dwindling talent pool going independent will me some of the best talent found in the GOJHL (OHL draft picks) will not play in an unsanctioned league and remove the opportunity of playing game...

Re: GOJHL Issues
Just how bad would a B league independent of HC look? Think about the fact that if they operate outside HC then any OHL draft pick that has any desire to affiliate to the major club could NOT play in a league outside of HC sanctioning. Teams struggle to find talent now. Inc going independent is not ...

Re: GOJHL AGM Today
Here's an idea. We take a page from Ronnie Reagan's playbook. Remember the air traffic controller mess? I say the OHA punts all the teams and makes them re-apply. Not all will get back in unless they agree to follow the rules of the governing body.

Re: GOJHL AGM Today
You can make arguements for and against the kind of league the GOJHL is or isn't. The reality is that the league over the last 15 years has weekend. There are many reasons for that happening and one of them is the exodus of players to other higher leagues. The fact remains there are just some things...

Then I would have to think that any kid that has been drafted by the OHL would leave the outlaw organization. They risk to much staying in an unsanctioned league.

Re: GOJHL AGM Today
So if this ends up going where it looks like it is and the 15 stand on their own as an independant outlaw league. Outside OHA, OHF and HC. Just how many players will stay and play or bolt to HC sanctioned teams?
