Re: Caledonia deserves a lot of credit
There is some money exchanged hands but different ways. Talking to people the players work for the owner. So if you still don't beleive players call to a organization then here's some names
- Tyler hill called after Guelph told him that they were gonna use there younger guys
- Davis brown called ...

Why would they call to see if there's any money left, then go to a team that finishes second to them in the standings?
[/quote]
I was joking. I have no idea who calls who or what kinda money is being handed out.
But I don't think the number of ex-OHLers with 100-230 games that end up in ...

Re: Caledonia deserves a lot of credit
My view is not like the one above^^^...they changed the roster rules due to Caledonia abusing the old one, they still had more ex-OHLers than anyone else this season. How are they able to do that? Do the ex-OHLers play in Caledonia for the beauty of the town, the great educational system the ...

Re: Sutherland Cup Finals; London vs Elmira
It doesn't matter to me who wins, I'm happy with either. London has recent Sutherland Cup Finals experience, whereas Elmira hasn't been here in a while, but Jonathan Reinhart is the Tom Brady of the GOJHL, and you don't bet against Tom Brady.
C'mon, you are comparing Jonathan Reinhart to Tom ...

Re: Caledonia deserves a lot of credit
Sure some of them likely make a bit of money. But you can't deny their history when it comes to moving talent of all ages along. A lot of those 20 year olds end up with offers to play somewhere else the next year. They likely don't see those opportunities if they don't comeback to Jr. and shine ...

Re: Caledonia Bushleaguers Bushwhacked!!!
Caledonia losing is karma for them running up scores in beating teams by 20+ goals. They thought it was easy and laughed then, now everyone is laughing at them.
Falcons, Canucks, both also scored 20 goals in games. Ancaster with 15, twice. But hey, don't let facts get in the way of your ...

Re: Sutherland Cup Semi Finals; Listowel vs London
Kitchener was almost 20 points behind Listowel in the reg season.they were 1-1-1 at home vs Listowel and 2-1 in Listowel.Kitchener are similar to the London team, doesn't look good for Listowel.
Oh, than London should win easily.
C'mon, Kitchener's record means nothing in a Listowel-London ...

It won't be the difference some may think it is.jfvoll wrote: Mon Apr 10, 2017 9:29 am Listowel has the arena advantage since Elmira and Waterloo has Olympic ice pads. Re: Sutherland Cup Semi Finals; Listowel vs London
The 2 arenas are like night and day.London is a very fast team, hard to judge potential considering their last 2 opponents. If London can take a game in Listowel.I'll say London in 7.Since there are so many factors involved in this series any team could win 4 straight.
London will not be any ...

Pretty sure this thread isn't about me, so how about you guys congratulate London on their 4th Conference Championship in 6 years.
Are you kidding? You make a couple of ignorant posts about how boring the game was, saying you were looking around in the crowd instead of watching, give your ...

Gee,wonder why Homes didn't go back to the vairs this year.Speaking to Western people for a few years now, they seem to think London's been playing that game a lot longer than the Vairs have.
Oh I get it now, it's Gomes not Homes as in Nathan Gomes...as far as I know he is living in London and ...

The game wasn't captivating enough to keep my attention for all 60 minutes, so I found other things that were more exciting.
I agree, those Strathroy Rocket games were just a thrill ride of excitement huh...I hope you paid for your ticket, I'd hate to see you get a freebie and than trash the ...

Re: Final Round in the West
In London tonite it reminded me of some Caledonia series over the last few years. When that happened people were livid over the talent differences.Don't see anyone here spewing about raiding bottom teams of their talent, leaving the division a lot weeker.
The difference is London and Leamington ...

Re: Final Round in the West
Very boring game, I agree with RG. And nothing against the western Fair arena its a nice complex but it has to be the most boring place to watch a game, no atmosphere or anything. Very strange. Hopefully a much better game tonight, must win in my eyes for the Flyers.
Again, I guess you have to ...

I guess you have to be on the winning team to appreciate it.RocketGirl wrote: Sat Apr 01, 2017 10:57 pm That was the most boring game I've seen in a while. Definitely not a Conference finals game. Leamington had no energy, London wasn't any better. I spent the majority of the game scanning the crowd to see who I knew.
