Re: The OHA
word is that the boards first order was to approve the GOJHL Inc as the governing entity of the the GOJHL similar to how the OJHL is run and also the approval of the Milton to Brantford Move and with that I’ve heard there’s a GOJHL team that’s gone to the OHF and Hockey Canada over said decisions to...

Re: The OHA
The vote was 58-47 to oust the OHA board. Special Meeting tomorrow night where Tom Strauch is supposed to be appointed the new President. Everything for this year stays the same, any changes would take affect next season. The meeting today was a vote on the OHF/OHA resolution that the OHA and OHF c...

Re: NEW Jr C OVERAGE RULE
Im a little late to this post, but theres been talk of getting rid of some overage spots in favor of additional 16 year old spots for years but its out of the PJHL, OHA, OHF hands as the 16 year old spot is dictated by HC through the Canadian Development Model, and they dont consider JR C a developm...

Re: 2018-19 Signings
I believe the OJHL is currently involved in some dispute with the OHA, which in turn has left them locked out of the Hockey Canada registry. Thus, no real announcements of any player signings or trades coming from the OJHL on June 1st. It’s not just the OJHL it’s also the GOJHL and a few PJHL teams...

Re: OJHL Suing OHA?
I can tell you that there is no truth to the rumor that the OJHL is suing the OHA.

Re: Brantford Going Jr A?
http://www.brantfordexpositor.ca/2017/07/24/99ers-owner-buys-junior-a-icehawks The OHA has reversed their decision about the purchase of Milton. Now isn't that an interesting turn of events. All of a sudden Milton gets approved I wonder what changed their minds.... I wonder if it had anything to do...

If it's not the players permanent residence then yes he would be an import if he's coming from outside of the draw zone.

Re: Brantford Going Jr A?
I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact they missed the deadline to file for change in ownership / relocation?

Re: Annual AGM
"OHA President Karen Phibbs followed with a review of the Motions that were submitted prior to the AGM and announced a number of policy changes." I assume details will follow at some point From what I've been told those policy changes was the association basically saying they control the ...

Re: why do players leave for the junior A leagues
The taxpayer is already on the hook for it. The ministry of Heritage and Sport already gives Hockey Canada upwards of $4.5 million per year to "govern". That money is then allocated to each provincial branch. In Ontario, we have 3 branches. The OHA falls under the OHF. The OHF allocates a...

Re: TRADE DEADLINE (Deals, Signings, Rumours, Etc.)
Looks like Cole Mayo was released from the Sudbury Wolves. I think he's a London area kid, not sure where he'll turn up. Could be a name to watch. Rumor has it Cobourg or Trenton. Played for the rockets before the O Wouldn't have been able to go to Trenton unless he signed a Jr B or C card Trenton ...

Re: GOJHL - Jr. A?
As long as the OJHL has the OHA in their back pocket allowing them to do whatever they want the GOJHL will never be granted "A" status in the OHA, because we all know what the OJHL will do if something doesn't go their way they automatically send their pit bull lawyer in and threaten with ...
