Re: Conference Finals: Leamington(1) vs London(2), Playoff Thread & Predictions
If you watch the replay of the overtime goal its pretty much the same as game 5 where no one picked up the shooter .Three Flyers puck watchers chased the puck one way and the shooter was left alone again .Its also pretty much the same guys on the ice as well.Poor D coverage lead to two OT losses .I ...

Re: Conference Finals: Leamington(1) vs London(2), Playoff Thread & Predictions
The way I see it is even though the game was tied on a questionable non call , their still was hockey to play . You don't lose a game on a tying goal . A breakdown of defensive zone coverage was the soul reason for the loss . When you come back to your end you have a job to do . This clearly was not...

Re: Conference Finals: Leamington(1) vs London(2), Playoff Thread & Predictions
The refs put the whistles away which is exactly what you want in a final . Great flow to the game . I saw the trip that was not called but I also saw a hook and a hit from behind that wasn't called earlier so if the refs call that then it would have looked bad on their part . The OT goal was not Wal...

Re: Cale Allen joins Lasalle
The track record speaks for itself like you say .I have different hockey eyes than you and I guess that's the way it is .I appreciate and respect that you are an avid fan of the Flyers and their current Staffers . Yes they have done a wonderful job to turn the tide in Leamington. I wont publicly deg...

Re: Cale Allen joins Lasalle
If that's your understanding then I would tell you your doing a good job at sugar coating the whole situation. Cale Allen is a fine young man with a clean life .He's a hell of a hockey player and in my opinion Lasalle got the better end of this deal. He will help change the complexion of this year v...

Re: Flyers route Maroons 8-0
Yes the game was 8-0 but It seems that the Flyers have games like this even when the bad habits continue .What happened in London was a matter of the Nats capitalizing on the bad habits .Not much changed tonight in the play except the Flyers kept a high guy very high tonight and seemed to take care ...

Re: Mark Gangnon
Both Kids are really good kids from very nice families. Liam McDougall is probably one of the brightest spots on that Lasalle team thus far . He should have a great year with his outstanding puck skill and skating ability . I'm not trying to blow the kids horn but he reminds me of Doug Gilmour . Gag...

Re: Flyers win thriller vs Falcons to sweep weekend showcase
The St. Catharines Falcons came within three minutes of a weekend sweep at the annual Showcase Tournament in London over the weekend. The Falcons defeated the Elmira Sugar Kings 7-2 Saturday before dropping a 3-2 decision to the Leamington Flyers Sunday night. “Overall, I thought things went very we...

Re: 2015-16 Schedule
I have a suggestion if you don't mind .If you don't have enough time for recaps of each game perhaps you can have volunteers write recaps for you . I enjoy reading the game recaps .I'm sure you can find enough people on this site to write about three or four games each . This way we all get the best...

Re: LaSalle takes game 1
Saw the game and I think that's the worst hockey I have seen Caledonia play . Lasalle was definitely prepared and played a heck of a hockey game . They made Caledonia look pretty darned vulnerable and can easily be up 2-0 If the Vair's don't pull up their socks. The Vipers definitely believe in them...

Re: Caledonia Coach faces suspension
I have already commented on this in another thread but I would like to tell you that this Bullard guy was the topic at many dinner tables the day after. I was so thoroughly entertained I was hoping he wouldn't be suspended so I can go back and catch another show . I was laughing so hard I almost uri...

Re: Flyers even series up
Your right Port it was when he threw it at Amante. I'm thinking the slur came from the Hallway .The guy was losing his mind .It was so much fun to watch his side show .The people around me figured he was trying to intimidate the refs so he could get his way .I guess he was looking for a little time ...

Re: Caledonia scores 5 PP goals, dumps Leamington 6-2
Port I don't get into disputing ones opinion but I have read a lot of dialogue between you and others and it seems that you quite enjoy it. That being said I will disagree with you on your call of the first hit from behind on Peacock .It was very clear that he turned his body inward probably because...

Re: Caledonia scores 5 PP goals, dumps Leamington 6-2
I think they have a pretty solid D. What I was not impressed with was the refereeing . Two guys getting kicked out for hits from behind yet I saw hits from behind that were not even called against Caledonia . And I watched both players from Caledonia turn their backs to the hitter . In terms of the ...

Re: Interesting rumor
Watched Ford play a few times . He's really good when it comes to teams with lower end chasing skills .Not sure how much of a savior he would be in the course of a year .Several times when things weren't going his way ,he would have a suck attack and made me think " I'm glad he's not on my team...

Re: 15:57 Flyers, Nationals
Qwerty .Lets just say that the Flyers make it out of the west .I don't think the skill level is in Question .They are deep in that department with two very good lines With Scotts line and Duarts line .But im not sure if you have this one thought out as much as the Flyer brass . I think they knew goi...

Re: Leamington pushes London to brink of elimination with 5-4 win
My take on the spear. As it happened pretty much in front of me .It was one of the most malicious spears you could imagine .its was directly in the nuts and the kid could have been without kids for life . To me the game has no room for this type of action but if the kid did that to me my gut reactio...

Re: Caledonia continues to dominate with 8-1 win
Well Port ,I have to humbly agree with you on this one .I don't see anyone knocking these guys off their throne. They truly are the deepest team in all three leagues and I really cant see them getting beat ,period . They have Speed, Skill, Size, Goaltending and the boys are treated like gold. This t...

Re: Flyers might be in trouble
Again a great performance by Tugwell. Just was wondering where the boost of offence was as stated by Port ( the insertion of suspended players ) .Like I said in my previous post .It really doesn't matter who the shooters are , If Tugwell sees it, it gets stopped .Plus the Nats are throwing their bod...

Re: Justin Tugwell
Hey bud , you want to tell me how 70 plus shots isn't enough offence . Tugwell squared himself to all the shots and his goaltending was the best i,ve seen in years .He won that game .The only way to beat this team is to get bodies in front of this guy so he doesn't see the puck .But this kid was unb...

Re: Quarter Final Matchups
Regarding the Flyers game . It was a gallant effort by the Predators .They figured out a pretty sound defensive zone coverage against a fairly potent offense .I was thinking the game could have gone either way .A show of depth by the Flyers by healthy scratching one of their players that is nearly a...
