Port, you really do need to lay off the ganja, you're delusional.
To try and say there's ever any reason for that lack of class is just stupid.
There's no doubt that Caledonia is going to win this series, probably 4 straight, but let's show a little integrity in doing so.

I especially liked the way they celebrated the 9th goal like they had just won the Stanley Cup.

Re: SUTHERLAND CUP FINAL: Caledonia(1st, GHL) vs London(2nd, West) Predictions & Playoff Thread
What's funny is all the Caledonia fans who try to convince themselves that A) the coaching has anything to do with the winning, and B) that this team has any concept of development.
The team was bought and paid for, period, end of sentence.
Oldtymer nailed it.

Cali vairs thanks for the unsolicited advise but I can assure you that I'm always watching.
Don't shoot the messenger but from what I understand Caledonia is the most despised team in the league so of course anyone would be happy to beat them.

Bravo Qwerty. It's common knowledge the team is built on under the table player payments.

Re: Can anyone stop Caledonia in a best of seven series?
Do the events described in the articles below sound somewhat familiar to what is going on this season in the GOJHL? If this team is the poster-child of the league, as some here would suggest, then I'm sure they'd be happy to open their books for an OHA audit. Junior hockey's dirty little secret Frid...

Re: Showcase - 2015
I'm not saying this weekend is an ideal time for the showcase but in defense of the league it's extremely difficult this time of year. As far as the NCAA is concerned, they have pretty much a $0 budget for scouting, which is done mostly by assistant coaches. Sure they have bird dogs out at most of t...

The NCAA Option
With the Showcase weekend coming up I thought I would put a plug in for U.S. College Hockey. With a personal background that involves the NCAA, I'm continually shocked by how this option is often overlooked in the GOJHL by both players and scouts. Not that I have anything against the CHL, but the Co...

IMHO the league should be going the other way, looking to pare down the Mid-West and West instead of adding to the Shoe.
If they have any future hopes of a Jr A classification, they need less and better franchises.

Re: New Season
Reported on Twitter that the London coach, Kelly Thomson, won't be back behind the bench for this season. He's going to work full time and go back to school. No replacement named. In a related note, the team is no longer for sale. I'm guessing they couldn't find a buyer. Does anyone know what the pr...

Re: New Season
Totally agree Oglethorp, and a team like London will make that deal with St. Mary's for those 2 guys all day. Why not? Unfortunately St. Mary's has to look like the bad guy if they deny the trade, but the kids knew what they were getting into in the 1st place, and that's how they will build a conten...

Re: 2015-16 Schedule
Oglethorp I agree with you on the poor marketing done by the league. This schedule thing is just another example of shooting themselves in the foot. Why announce a time and date if they can't meet the commitment? The bigger picture is that, despite having a great on-ice product and fantastic fan att...

Re: Is GMHL a Threat?
If the GOJHL or OHA think the GMHL is not a threat and will be going away, they are already in trouble. Although the product on the ice is not nearly as good, they definitely have a big advantage in the marketing department. It won't be this year or next, but I say get your act together or look out...

Re: G0JHL Losing Talent?
Oglethorp, I don't disagree with you but would make the same argument for players wanting to progress to the NCAA. The perception, incorrectly I believe, is that the OJHL is a higher caliber league. They do send way more to D1 and D3 players and actively celebrate those who make a commitment. Where ...
