Re: First Round Predictions
Any thoughts on whats up with Chatham? Down 3-1? Never expected that. It's called 'insanity'... doing the same thing over and over and over again and expecting different results. Komoka players deserves the wins so far, they've been tenacious and definitely the more hungry team. Kudos to the coach ...

Re: Chatham De-Commitments
They've lost at least 7 guys who were eligible to return. Of those seven, I believe one left to attend university and play Junior B in a different city, a few "moved up" to play in the OJHL, 1 went to the States, 1 to the Q, and 2 dropped to Junior C along with a couple others who committe...

Re: Guy from OJHL forum rips the GOJHL, Buffalo
IMO I think it's classless and shows poor sportsmanship to run scores up like the 28-0 and 28-2 recently posted. Even a 13-3 score is poor sportsmanship and really just an attempt to pad stats for players. Which brings me to my second point- the scoring title for the GOJHL is not a true reflection o...

I'm pretty sure Brad36 was agreeing with you this time. "As much as I dont agree with what unhappy fan says most of the time they hit the nail on the head on this one. Its unfortionate that things didnt work out but you cant treat your players like that and expect to keep your job."

Re: Chatham doubles London 8-4
By all accounts, the players who played under Davis liked and respected him. Won't be a 'grudge match' like it would be against LaSalle (Bowler).
Rookie will be out-coached once again but scoring ability and skill level may propel Chatham in a Sarnia/Chatham match-up.

Re: London @ Leamington
Both teams are also quite familiar with playing on a larger ice surface than most of the other rinks. Maybe that's helped a bit, along with grit and determination. London's feisty and tenacious in puck pursuit.

Re: London @ Leamington
Leamington got beat using the game plan they typically use against opponents -Beat them up (literally), grind them down and capitalize on PP. Good on London for taking full advantage and turning the tables.

Chatham isn't going to go anywhere if they don't stop: a)giving the puck away and b) forgetting about the defensive side of the game. There's more to hockey than padding stats and amassing personal points. IMO

I wonder how some of these current vets would have felt in their rookie season if a large number of vets wanted to jump ship. Can't be good for team morale. And it isn't just Chatham I'm referring to. Is this generation of hockey players more selfish, as in "I'm not getting what I want: sticks,...

Attempting to injure 2 top scorers doesn't exactly ooze of class either. Let's hope both teams play a good old (and fair) game of hockey tonight and may the better team win.

Re: Maroons one loss away from elimination
 Gutsy win by Chatham and the bounces went their way. They capitalized on two glaring defensive lapses by the Nationals. Notwithstanding those 2 fatal mistakes, London was the better team tonight. Bessette played well enough but in the end let four by him and proved to be only marginally bette...

London, without a doubt, has had the better coaching, discipline, effort and execution so far in the series. London is showing a lot more desire and effort than all but the call-ups and one or two regulars for the Chatham squad. Goaltending, I'm not sure about since the net has been knocked off 13 t...

The officiating was inconsistent, even with the head of officiating there. After a few blatant missed calls he was seen writing a fair bit. Hamelin tried, it appeared, to make up for some missed calls starting mid second period. Regardless, Chatham battled back for a hard fought shootout win.

Verboom had the puck and skated down and around Leamington's net then along the side board when he was hit hard with head contact being involved and most definitely charging. Refs were looking down the ice at other end (don't understand why as Verboom had control of the puck), Morgan had just skated...
