Re: St Mary's Lincolns
The best team certainly won. Coming back from being down 3-2 in the series and winning all 3 games in London is very impressive. Thirty years is a very long time to wait between championships. London has certainly won the West enough winning 6 of the previous 10 championships. The Komoka-Lambton Sho...

Same thing happened to London vs St. Thomas a while back. Those 2 points cost the Nats first place to Leamington.

Just had a look at the bracket section on the league site. It shows the 3-team round robin. No wild card.

Re: London @ Chatham - Jan. 22
The funniest thing about RG's post is that I didn't realize that London had fans - well passionate fans anyways - followers, but not fans. Watching a game at the Western Fair is like watching a game in church. Everyone is a quiet as church mice. Chatham has phenomenal fans. No contest there. They wo...

With their 6-0 loss in Strathroy last night they extended their losing streak to 14 games - sadly a new franchise record breaking their former mark of 13 set in 1998.

I've heard that the Flyers owed the Lincs a player for the Walcarius deal. Chantler was the player that the Lincs wanted. Possibly the Nats wouldn't release him to St. Marys.

Re: Sutherland Cup
Special teams might be the difference. Last night both the Falcons and the Hawks scored 2 even strength goals but the Falcons went 1/5 on the PP while the Hawks were 0/5. The Maroons have a strong PP and are quite adept at scoring shorthanded. The team that wins the special teams battles might win t...

It should be an eye opener for St. Catharines and Cambridge playing in Chatham Memorial. That is likely a completely different atmosphere than they have ever experienced before. We wish the Maroons well.

Re: London chatham series
The Nats certainly looked vulnerable when they played St. Thomas in the first round, especially after the Stars won 2 games at the Western Fair. The Maroons have a lot more offensive weapons than the Stars and have taken advantage of the Nats' complacency. The London/St. Thomas series was not a phys...

I heard the same today too. They are going ahead with 2 refs but will be monitoring the situation in case they have to revert back to one. Great news having 2 refs again.

I was told just prior to the Christmas break that we were going with 1 ref for the balance of the season; that of course doesn't mean that they can't change their minds. I too would prefer two.

2021-22 PREDICTIONS
Traditionally at this time of the year some of us make predictions on the final standings for the upcoming season. Only 3 teams, Strathroy, Chatham and London had winning preseason records. St. Thomas never won a game while Sarnia, Komoka, Leamington and LaSalle only won 1 game. Here is how the team...
