Re: Komoka
Komoka is a great place to play jr b hockey. Support is decent. A very good owner and staff are very good. These people should be praised once in awhile. This is not there full time jobs. We need more of them. To own operate these junior b teams takes some kind of grit and hard work plus financial w...

There is just not enough quality hockey players out there. Unless a c team has 5 to 6 quality players u are spinning wheels. When Dorchester entered the league that became one too many teams

Re: The OHA
I personally with over two decades of teams in oha more then happy to see the ship is being righted. I left on a sour and defeated mood and happy with some degree of common sense back in play. Thanks

Hard to believe someone would accept this position in first place with his health the way it was. Good luck in future to him and hopefully oha wakes up or get their crowns straightened up so hockey games from here on in can now be enjoyed without this nonsense.

Re: The OHA
Need a new southern Ontario hockey committe under hockey Canada to offer junior and senior teams in southern Ontario at a more affordable price and put an end to dictatorship. As past owner operator it is long overdue for best interst of teams and players in southern Ontario.

Re: GOJHL Issues
Sometimes every hockey organization (oha) needs an overhaul, recharging, change in direction from same old from the past. oha must come to grips with the idea that oha book allows for teams or league to compete in Jr. a,b,c, and d. To not allow Jr. a teams, league to compete for oha Jr. A cup in sou...

Re: GOJHL Issues
I have had the privilege of owning, managing and operating senior, intermediate and junior franchises within the oha for over two decades before leaving on a disappointed note unfortunately. The oha is a decent operating outfit but is off course in southern Ontario with the junior b teams. Hopefully, ...

For years I was told jr d teams to jr c could not happen. What happened all d clubs now jr c.. I was told to be impossible back then but it happened for best as d teams can now keep more local players etc. With oha approval and pressure from oha and b league I am of the belief that for betterment an...

Re: Fans of the 'new' Kilty's must (like me) wonder what's happening...
I agree us old timers can remember. Trying as oha may to maintain same status with a jr b league in Ontario is doomed to future failure. Southern Ontario needs an elite junior league to showcase southern Ontario players young and old plus a decent amount of imports. A premier junior league below maj...

As an old time past hockey team operator trying to understand Junior b teams wishing to go jr a and oha blocking there requests. If this is case why would oha want to block leagues clubs from giving there local area players and fans the opportunity To play jr a and keep good players rather then lose...

Re: Trouble in Komoka
Having the great experience of operating junior teams I applaud anyone including the komoka people for icing a decent jr b team. Not many people can even begin to operate jr b teams as it takes quite a bit of work and determination to provide hockey for 25 players and fans. Good luck komoka and do n...

The oha has been around seems like forever yet and this seems crazy they still have to come up with rules to try and level playing fields. How is this working.
Oha has too many rules, too structured, etc.

I would love to see Chatham,London, stthomas,Cambridge plus other large communities be allowed Jr. a status. Smaller communities can enter jr c. Nothing personal just think a oha Jr. A league in southern Ontario would be great for players and fans. Yes jr b as is is okay but times have changed.

Very unfortunate article about former hockey player Petrie. Somewhere, some how this former OHA player needed help and did not get it. It is hard to believe this player did not get help as early as 16 years of age. I sincerely hope this is just a one off and OHA and Managers of these teams are more ...

It had to be done. True example jr d team loses all his teams local players to jr c teams. This jr d team forced to sign outside players. Re: Breaking the rules set by the OHA(In Response to 'Stats Primer')
The OHA has placed severe penalties for teams that abuse player benefits and incentives. If teams wish to go that route they will be caught sooner then later. Personally, I believe the OHA will eventually catch the cheaters if any are out there.
